Reconditioned boring bar model “FW II” complete with standard tooling, updated with new tool bits and diamond lap sharpen wheel . Completely gone through & tested ready to use.

Our Complete Rebuilding Process (100% unchanged – this is what every bar receives)

 
• Completely disassemble down to the bare casting, check for cracks, dings, or leaks

• Replace every bearing with genuine Timken or OEM-spec (upper & lower spindle, motor drive shaft, idler pulleys, feed screw, motor bearings)

• All shafts checked on V-blocks for straightness and wear – bent or worn shafts replaced

• Every Oilite and sleeve bushing inspected; worn ones replaced with new

• New O-rings and gaskets as needed

• All keyways inspected; worn or damaged keyways re-cut, new Woodruff and square keys fitted and replaced when needed

• All oil-soak felts replaced

• Oil pump rebuilt with new spring and check valves

• Electric motor fully rebuilt, new bearings, new heavy-duty power cord, new coupler, new switches and push buttons when required. Armature rewound if needed

• Boring head completely disassembled: new detent balls & springs, micrometer dial rebuilt or replaced as required

• Sliding key and inner sliding shaft inspected and replaced if worn or damaged

• Pulleys and key-slots checked; bent or worn pulleys replaced or re-metalized and precision reground for tight bearing fit

• Quill and sleeve bearings hand-polished and re-honed for perfect fit

• Feed screw inspected for straightness and wear; feed nut replaced

• Gearbox and selector mechanism fully disassembled and inspected

• Any chipped or worn bevel gears, worm gears, or selector gears replaced

• New tool-holder gib screws and hardware

• New clutch pins and new clutch if worn

• Retract plunger push-button assembly rebuilt or replaced

• Anchor/lock-down assembly inspected and repaired

• New drive belts

• Casting stripped to bare metal, primed, and finished in automotive-grade green paint

• Final test run and qualification: precision boring of 3.500″ and 4.000″ test blocks
